Lauren & Sean . Married

We were thrilled to have the honor of photographing Lauren and Sean’s wedding at the beautiful Richmond Country Club. We could always tell this was going to be a fun wedding by the playful way Lauren and Sean were constantly joking around with each other. Having only met them a month before the big day we hit it off by easing them into a fun, and rather cold, engagement shoot. Lauren was an absolute trooper putting up with the cold as we went with ‘gloves on’ and ‘gloves off’ in between locations!

Come wedding day they had glorious sunshine and warmer weather to kick start the celebrations. Lauren and bridesmaids were just a short trip away while Sean and the boys got their energy together with some “snack” food (your secret is safe with us!). Their day progressed with a great ceremony full of love, and humor, and moved into a wonderful celebration for the newly weds. Yummy food, good music and great family and friends made sure Lauren and Sean had a magical day.

Kim and Jordan’s Wedding at Quantico Marine Corps Base in Virginia

The 2012 wedding season kicked off to a great start for Okodio last month with the lovely wedding of Jordan and Kim. They are one of those couples you cant help but warm to instantly, and they are quite clearly just nuts about each other!

We have to hand out our congratulations to them – not only for becoming ‘Mr & Mrs’ – but also for being one of our most dedicated couples and putting on big brave smiles despite freezing cold snow flurries for their engagement session, and then MORE snow on their wedding day! (…..theres just something about you guys!)

 

Joking aside – the snow was beautiful! The wrap-around windows at the reception venue at Quantico Marine Base gave the feeling of being in a giant snow globe. It was touching to see the newly weds and guests faces light up as the room was surrounded by glistening white snowflakes, and alongside the couples deep red accent colors it really felt like it was just meant to be.

 

After mingling with friends and family the newlyweds ended the evening in style as Jordan swept Kim away in his very yellow and very awesome Dodge Challenger…………..a true ‘happily ever after’ moment!

Becky & Paul – Stafford VA Engagement

Happy Friday all! We are so excited to be able to share these engagement shots of Becky & Paul! This gorgeous couple are tying the knot next year in the beautiful grounds of Rock Hill Plantation House (www.rockhillplantation.com). It was soooo much fun to work with this amazing pair – just seeing the way they laugh and joke with each other just makes us melt!
